Survey: Shaping policy to make gig companies #PayUp
Gig workers are coming together to tell companies like Instacart, DoorDash, Postmates, and more that it's time for them to #PayUp. We're working together to develop a set of bold demands for new laws that would improve pay for independent contractors in the gig economy: a pay floor of $15/hr + expenses, tips on top, and transparency.
As we work to develop these big ideas into clear policy, we need to make sure workers across the country & across all kinds of apps have a chance to provide input. There are a lot of details to be worked out when it comes to building innovative new policies like these, and it's important to get those details right. And making sure that gig workers have a voice every step of the way is vital in making sure these policies work for workers.
